Abstract Submission

Contributions on a relevant theme are invited. Abstracts of 250-300 words should be submitted by 30 June 2008.

The receipt of all abstracts will be automatically acknowledged at the time of submission. You will then be subsequently advised (usually within 24-48 hours) of your abstract identification number. This number must be quoted in all correspondence related to your abstract submission.

Format

There are no formatting requirements but the abstract should not contain references, figures, pictures or tables. Please provide the following information:

Presentation Title
Abstract of 250-300 words
Name and affiliation of all authors
Presenter(s) names
Full contact details of the contact person for all correspondence

All correspondence will be electronic and an email address is required.

Themes

Authors should also indicate the conference theme that the paper is intended to address. The theme of the Conference is The Casemix Evolution: extending the boundaries. The Conference will consider applications under the areas of:

Broader Reform Agenda
Health Strategies
Good Design
Good Value
Good Health
National/International use and achievements
Patient Centric
Measuring Patient Outcomes

Sub-themes include (but are not limited to):

Performance - indicators, incentives, approaches
Workforce Classification systems
Funding/costing
Technology and e-health
Indigenous health
Quality and safety
Chronic disease management
Mental health approaches
Accountability/transparency

Papers outside these areas will also be considered by the Committee.

Full Paper

Following notification of acceptance, authors are required to prepare a full paper by 30 September 2008.

Presenter Registration

Please note that presenters will be required to fund their travel, accommodation and registration costs. At least one author per paper must register and pay for the Conference on or before 31 October 2008. Papers with no registered author will be withdrawn.
